Celtic are currently on their way to winning another domestic treble, by completing the trophies in Scottish Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup, but they are also looking at potential new deals in the summer. According to Daily Star, Celtic are interested in Srdjan Babic.
The Serbian is a centre-back who currently plays for Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) and was part of their Champions League campaign this season. Babic had the chance of playing against PSG, Liverpool and Napoli this season, as the 23-year old already has U20 FIFA World Cup trophy to his name, from back in 2015.
Babic would be an alternative for Celtic if the Scottish champions do not end up with Chelsea’s Tomas Kalas. The Czech centre-back is rated at £5m, while Babic would probably be a cheaper option. Daily Star also point out that Besiktas, Feyenoord and Nice are all interested in Serbian centre-back.
