Celtic have made a bid to sign Ryan Sessegnon from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. It has been reported that the Scottish Premiership giants want to sign the 20-year-old on loan before the window closes next week and have made an offer.
However, according to the report, Premier League club Tottenham have told Celtic that it will cost them more than £5 million to take the youngster on loan. Spurs want more than £5 million in loan fee for the 20-year-old – who can operate as a left-back or as a left-winger – and want his wages to be paid as well. Celtic have offered to pay more than £2 million in loan fee.
Sessegnon made four starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier league and made two starts and one substitute appearance in the Champions League for Tottenham last season, according to WhoScored.
