Celtic are interested in signing David Turnbull from Scottish Premiership rivals Motherwell in the summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports. It has been reported that the Hoops have made an approach for the 21-year-old midfielder, and that a transfer fee is close to being agreed between the two clubs.
Turnbull was on the verge of making the move from Motherwell to Celtic in the summer of 2019, but a knee problem was discovered during a medical. The 21-year-old midfielder spent most of last season on the sidelines recovering, and now he is back for full fitness and playing well for his club in the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic have made a disappointing start to the season in Scotland and could do with adding a few players to the squad. Tom Rogic looks to be on his way out, and Turnbull would be a good replacement, not just for now, but in the long run as well.
