Celtic match off as weather hits SPL again

Celtic’s Scottish Premier League match at home to Kilmarnock on Saturday and the match between Dundee United and Motherwell have both fallen victim to the weather.

Although the pitches at Parkhead and Tannadice may both have been playable, despite the cold snap that has hit Scotland, police have advised that road conditions following recent snowfalls will make it dangerous for fans to travel to those fixtures.

Hamilton’s clash with Hibernian at New Douglas Park is also in doubt but SPL officials expect the other three games — Hearts v Aberdeen, Inverness v Rangers and St Mirren v St Johnstone — to go ahead as scheduled.

Last week’s entire SPL programme was wiped out by the weather.
