Celtic open to selling Olivier Ntcham to sign James McCarthy

Celtic are interested in signing James McCarthy in the January transfer window and are willing to sell Olivier Ntcham to fund a move for the Crystal Palace central midfielder, according to Eurosport. It has been reported that the former Everton player is open to a move to the Glasgow giants, having grown up as a fan of the Hoops.

According to WhoScored, McCarthy has made four starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Palace so far this season. During the 2019-20 campaign, the 30-year-old Republic of Ireland international central midfielder made 16 starts and 17 substitute appearances in the league for Palace, according to WhoScored.

According to WhoScored, Ntcham as made seven starts and six substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership and made three starts and two substitute appearances in the Europa League for Celtic this season. Celtic are second in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment, while Palace currently find themselves 13th in the Premier League table.
