Celtic boss Neil Lennon has informed interested clubs that star midfielder Victor Wanyama is valued at £25 million.
The Kenyan midfielder is expected to be a subject of a real bidding war between a number of Premier League sides, with his contract dispute with the club only adding fuel to speculations linking the youngster with a January exit.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon believes the player is worth around £25 million, but is adamant the Bhoys are not looking to sell.
“£25m,” said Lennon when asked by BBC Sport what the midfielder was worth. “Wanyama has the world at his feet.
“But his feet are here and they won’t be going anywhere unless we say so.”
Wanyama has three years left on his deal at Parkhead, but his agent recently revealed that his client had rejected a new contract offer from the club.
The 21-year-old, who has also been used as a centre-back at Celtic Park, joined the Bhoys in the summer of 2011, and has since scored 8 goals in 38 Scottish Premier League matches.
