According to Sky Sports, Celtic are on the verge of completing the long-term loan signing of Australian youngster Daniel Arzani. The 19-year-old, who is set to complete a permanent move from Melbourne City to Manchester City, will travel to Scotland in search of first-team football as he continues his development in the game.

Arzani is well-known for his fantastic substitute appearances for Australia during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, during which time he was pinpointed as the next big thing in Australian football. He’ll be joining a Celtic side who seem to be flourishing under the tutelage of Brendan Rodgers, as they continue to try and push themselves to the point where they’re able to compete on a European level.

Celtic, who are the reigning Scottish champions, are set to face AEK Athens in the Champions League tonight, which will be followed up by a huge lunchtime kickoff game against Hearts on Saturday.
