Celtic sign Newcastle keeper on loan

Glasgow Celtic have signed Newcastle United keeper Fraser Forster on a season long loan. The 22 year old becomes Neil Lennon’s 10th signing of the summer window and will provide competition to current Celtic No.1 Lukasz Zaluska at Parkhead.

The 2 metre tall Forster is a Newcastle youth product. He has previously had loan spells at Stockport County, Bristol Rovers and Norwich City. It was at the last club where he really shone. At Norwich, he was named the Players’ Player of the Year 2010 and was awarded the Macron Gloves Award for the most number of clean sheets in the league.
