Scottish champions Celtic have confirmed they have recruited Serbian striker Stefan Scepovic from Sporting Gijon.
The deal seemed to have fallen through as the player decided to reject a move to Parkhead despite passing a medical, but he seems to have changed his mind again and opted to accept an offer from the Scottish side.
Celtic have revealed on their official website that Scepovic has signed a four-year deal with the club to become their sixth signing of the summer transfer window.
The well-traveled striker has already changed a total of eight clubs, having started his career at OFK Beograd and went on to represent Sampdoria, Club Brugge, Kortrijk, Hapoel Acre, Partizan, Ashdod and Sporting Gijon.
Scepovic, 24, caught the eye of Celtic scouts by scoring 23 goals in Spain’s second division last season and the long-drawn talks have finally produced results as the Serbia international pledged his future to the Bhoys.
