Celtic are interested in signing Fabio Silva from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The report has claimed that Premier League club Wolves are open to sending the 21-year-old forward out on loan in the middle of the season, and that defending Scottish Premiership champions Celtic are keen on bringing him to Celtic Park for the second half of the season.
Silva has been on the books of Wolves since 2020 when he joined from FC Porto. The Portugal Under-21 international forward spent the first half of last season on loan at Anderlecht in Belgium and the second half of the last campaign on loan at PSV in the Netherlands. The Wolves no. 9 has made three starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League and has scored one goal in two EFL Cup matches for Wolves so far this season.
Wolves are 14th in the Premier League table at the moment with 19 points from 17 matches, seven points above the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Celtic currently find themselves at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with 45 points from 19 matches, five points clear of second-placed and Old Firm rivals Rangers, who have played 17 matches.
