Celtic willing to pay £10m for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher

Celtic have made their interest in Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher know, according to a report in TEAMtalk. It has been reported that Celtic have told Liverpool that they are willing to pay £10 million in transfer fees for the Republic of Ireland international.

TEAMtalk has added that Kelleher has told his Liverpool bosses that he wants to leave due to lack of regular playing time. While the 25-year-old played when Alisson was injured for a period of time last season, he is the second-choice goalkeeper when the Brazil international is fit and available.

The report has claimed that Liverpool want as much as £20 million for Kelleher. Although the goalkeeper himself is open to a move to Celtic, who won the Scottish Premiership title yet again last season, the Hoops are unable to pay Liverpool’s asking price. It will be interesting to see whether the Reds lower their demands for Kelleher.
