Celtic’s bid for David Colina turned down

Celtic are interested in signing David Colina from Hajduk Split in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. It has been reported that the Scottish Premiership giants have made a bid of £3 million for the 20-year-old left-back, but the Croatian club have turned it down.

Celtic will reportedly have to increase their offer for Colina to sign him before the summer transfer window closes next week. The Hoops are on the hunt for a new left-back to compete with Greg Taylor, who is the only senior player in that position at the moment following Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo’s move to Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir on a loan deal.

Celtic have been quite busy in the summer transfer window so far and have made quite a few additions to their squad. Mohamed Elyounoussi has returned from Southampton on another loan deal, while Shane Duffy has joined on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion. Vasilis Barkas, Albian Ajeti and David Turnbull have been signed on permanent contracts.
