(GSM) – Celtic’s Thomas Rogne feels that playing alongside Arsenal veteran Sol Campbell will benefit him hugely, only if Celtic sign the veteran defender this summer.

The 35-year-old, who is out of contract this summer, has had an impressive spell at Arsenal last season.

And the former England international is reportedly high on Hoops’ boss Neil Lennon’s wish-list, with Campbell himself having refused to rule out a move to the Glasgow giants.

And Rogne insists he would welcome the opportunity to work with such an experienced player rather than fear the extra competition.

“You could learn a lot from him,” said the 19-year-old defender.

“He has played in a lot of big, important games and he has a lot of experience, of course.

“That’s a good thing because he is someone I could learn from.

“You always want to be ahead of other players but there will always be competition for places.

“There already is competition, so you need to just focus on yourself and help out the team as much as you can.”
