Atletico Madrid forward Alessio Cerci could be returning to Torino at the end of the season, Tuttosport can reveal.
The Italy international has experienced all sorts of problems since leaving Stadio Olimpico, having struggled for playing time at Vicente Calderon, before joining AC Milan on an 18-month loan deal in January.
However, the 27-year-old also failed to make an impact with the Rossoneri and everything suggests his loan deal will be cut short this summer.
Atletico Madrid seem prepared to listen to offers for Cerci, and that is something his former club Torino aim to exploit.
Granata will attempt to sign the forward on temporary basis and thus further improve their chances of achieving European qualification next season.
Cerci, who had scored 21 goals in 72 league outings for Torino, is reportedly keen on returning to Stadio Olimpico, but much could depend on coach Giampiero Ventura’s future at the club.
