(GSM) – Cercle Brugge almost gave away a comfortable lead in the semi finals of the Belgian Cup, but kept enough advantage to advance to the final.
Cercle won the first against Roeselare 3-0 and seemed all but certain of a spot in the final. Even more so when Jelle Vosse converted a penalty to give Cercle a 0-1 lead in the third minute of the second leg.
But Roeselare simply refused to give up at their own Schiervelde stadium, where Mahamadou Dissa pulled one back in the 34th minute and Jeremy Huyghebaert made it 2-1 on the hour.
When Dissa netted another in the 71st minute, some fans began to believe in a possible stunt. But Cercle would not allow any more goals and as such win the tie 4-3 on aggregate.
In the final, Cercle face AA Gent who beat Mechelen 3-2 on aggregate in the other semi final tie.
