Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar has confirmed that is keen on securing a move to Benfica, the Metro understands.
The Portuguese side are the latest to be linked with a move for the Brazil international, who has been absent from the Hoops four match day squads so far this season.
Arsenal were strongly linked with a move for the 33 year old earlier this summer, but their interest waned after the two clubs couldn’t agree on a valuation, while the players wages also proved to be a stumbling block.
However, the Gunners could revive their interest following their opening day Premier League defeat to Aston Villa.
Napoli were also interested in signing the former Inter Milan man, but instead secured a loan deal for Liverpool’s Pepe Reina.
Former England international Robert Green has played in QPR’s opening three games in the Championship this season, while Brian Murphy played in the 2-0 League Cup victory over Exeter City earlier this month.
