Competition: La Liga
Market: Fabregas to stay at Barcelona
Odds: 9/10 @ 888 Sport

Following transfer rumours linking both Manchester United & Arsenal to the signature of Barcelona Cesc Fabregas, the Premier League duo appear to be wasting their time as the 27-year-old won’t be exiting Nou Camp again.

Fabregas has enjoyed a bittersweet season with Barcelona, scoring eight goals and making 13 assists in La Liga, but ending the campaign trophyless. Under former manager Tata Martino, veteran midfielder Xavi found himself on the periphery in a lot of games and it seemed as his career was fast coming to and end at Barca.

His natural replacement has long been touted as Fabregas, but the former Arsenal man is far more attacking than Xavi. Nevertheless, the 27-year-old won’t be leaving his boyhood club again and is being given odds of 9/10 to stay at the Nou Camp this summer.

His value would be around the £30M mark, but the club won’t accept any fee that matches such valuation anyway. Barca are undergoing surgery this summer to reclaim their La Liga title and to be a force in the Champions League again, and they consider Fabregas a pivotal part of their squad.
