Serie A heavyweights AC Milan have reportedly rekindled interest in Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
The Rossoneri attempted to land the Spanish international during the summer transfer window but he ultimately decided to remain at Chelsea and fight for his place in the team under the new manager Maurizio Sarri.
The 31-year-old has found his options severely limited however as he has yet to make a single Premier League appearance thus far and is said to be looking towards the exit door at Stamford Bridge.
Fabregas’ contract is set to expire at the end of the campaign and Chelsea will be keen to sell him during the winter and avoid risk of losing him on a free transfer in the summer.
According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, AC Milan are preparing to make an offer for the Spaniard well aware that his contract situation will influence the transfer fee.
