Southampton are keen to re-sign Calum Chambers on loan from Arsenal, according to the Mirror.
The twenty-one year old swapped St Mary’s for the Emirates Stadium in July 2014 and started thirty-five games in this first season with the Gunners.
However, he fell down the pecking order last season and was handed just two league starts by manager Arsene Wenger, with the Frenchman opting to select Hector Bellerin as his first choice right-back.
In total, the three-time England international has racked up fifty-eight appearances for the North London club in all competitions, scoring twice while he was part of the squad that won the FA Cup in 2015.
He last played for his country in a 1-0 European Championships qualifying victory over Estonia back in October 2014.
Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is keen to strengthen his squad for next season, with the Saints also having to contend with participating in the Europa League.
