(GSM) – Guy Chambily has called for a complete overhaul of the French Football Federation following France’s disastrous World Cup campaign.
Chambily, who is a member of the Federation’s federal council, calls for an overhaul comes after the 2006 World Cup finalists failed to get beyond the group stage and did not win a single match.
Following the debacle, FFF president Jean-Pierre Escalettes announced that he would be step down on July 2.
But Chambily insists that Escalettes’ resignation would not be enough and the position of anyone who supported Domenech should come into question.
”It’s a step, but it is not enough,” Chambily said in L’Equipe.
”The management team of France has been so catastrophic that everyone who supported Mr Domenech stubbornly…there is a need for careful consideration.
”Resign? They have to judge. With what just happened in South Africa, I think everyone will be reasonable.”
