Championship: Bolton 2 Nottingham Forest 2

Bolton were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Nottingham Forest in the Championship on Friday, in a match were both sides held the lead.

Forest were ahead on 15 minutes courtesy of a remarkable long-range strike from Lewis McGugan, but Bolton managed to scrape their way back into the contest.

Chris Eagles fired Wanderers level in the 39th minute, and four minutes after the interval, the hosts at the Reebok Stadium led when Marvin Sordell capitalised on some lax Forest defence, finishing off the good work of Kevin Davies.

But Andy Reid found an equaliser for Nottingham against the flow, Antiguan striker Dexter Blackstock knocking down a ball into the path of strike partner Simon Cox, who deftly teed up Reid to score.

Forest now have five points from three matches and sit in second place on the table, while Bolton are on four points in eighth spot.
