Cardiff City and Burnley played out a goalless draw in the sole Championship match on Sunday.
Both sides headed into the game in poor form, with Cardiff having won just two of their past 11 matches, while Burnley had won one of their past eight.
Ross Wallace forced Cardiff City goalkeeper Andy Marshall into the first save of the match, as he was forced to turn a venomous 25-yard drive around the post.
Marshall was again called on to save Martin Paterson’s half volley at his near post, while he denied Junior Stanislas just after the half-hour mark.
Burnley continued to dominate and Danny Ings dragged his shot just wide in the build-up to half-time.
Very little goalmouth activity took place in the second half, with Cardiff’s best chance of the game coming when Burnley defender David Edgar headed just wide of his own goal in stoppage time.
Also in added time, Cardiff’s Robert Earnshaw headed wide as both sides were forced to share the spoils in Wales.
