Leicester City moved into the top half of the Championship table after a 1-0 win at Derby County on Thursday.
Midfielder Neil Danns scored the only goal of the game after just 16 minutes as he capitalised on superb build-up work from Lloyd Dyer.
Dyer won the ball inside his own half before he sprinted away from the Derby defence and hit a well-weighted cross to the back post.
Danns met the cross with a thumping volley to leave Derby goalkeeper Frank Fielding with no chance.
The hosts slightly improved in the second half, but Dyer and David Nugent were denied by the woodwork for Leicester after the interval.
It mattered little though as Nigel Pearson’s side made it three wins from their last four, while Derby’s freefall continued and they are now without a win in seven matches.
