A stunning volley from Gary Taylor-Fletcher gave Blackpool a 1-0 win over Hull City in the Championship on Friday.
The midfielder ensured Blackpool, who were relegated from the English Premier League last term, made a strong start in their bid to return to the top flight with an 81st-minute strike.
Taylor-Fletcher played a one-two with Keith Southern before unleashing a volley into the top corner of the goal at the KC Stadium.
Blackpool striker Kevin Phillips went close to opening his account for the club in the first half, but his strike from the edge of the area bounced off the post.
Hull forward Matty Fryatt squandered two good chances in the second half, one after being played through on goal.
But Taylor-Fletcher gave the visitors victory with his superb late strike before former Arsenal forward Jay Simpson wasted another chance for Hull late on.
