Leicester City have moved into the top half of the Championship after a hard-fought 2-0 win over Watford on Wednesday.
Goals from David Nugent and Jermaine Beckford helped Sven-Goran Eriksson’s team move into ninth after their win at King Power Stadium.
They went ahead after 19 minutes thanks to former Portsmouth forward Nugent, who controlled a pass from Paul Konchesky before placing home his fourth goal in eight league starts this campaign.
Watford sit just a spot above the relegation zone and they almost went 2-0 down soon after, only for goalkeeper Scott Loach to produce a good save to deny Nugent a brace.
The hosts did double their advantage nine minutes before half-time as Beckford headed in a cross from Japan international Yuki Abe after being left unmarked on the edge of the six-yard box.
Leicester struggled in the second half but went unpunished by a lacklustre Watford side.
