Leicester City stole a crucial victory for their promotion hopes with a 2-1 triumph over Bristol City in the Championship on Friday.
Super substitute Martyn Waghorn came on for former England forward Darius Vassell in the 84th minute and his impact on the game was a telling one when he netted the winner in the 90th minute in front of his home fans at The Walkers Stadium.
Earlier, on-loan Everton striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni scored his fourth goal in six games under Sven-Goren Eriksson to put the home side ahead on 21 minutes.
All four goals for the Nigerian at Leicester have gifted his side the lead, but their advantage was nullified when Marvin Elliott equalised in the 57th minute.
But the intervention of former Sunderland striker Waghorn intervention ensured Leicester moved within one point of sixth-placed Leeds United, though Simon Grayson’s side have a game in hand.
