Millwall kept in touch with the Championship’s top six with a 2-0 victory over Barnsley at The Den on Friday.

Steve Morison and James Henry were on target for the hosts as they moved to within three points of sixth-placed Leeds in the coveted play-off places.

It was Henry that provided Morison with Millwall’s opener, crossing to the back post for the 27-year-old Welshman to tap in from close range for his 13th goal of the season after 17 minutes.

The Lions then encountered a stroke of luck when they went two ahead later in the first half, as Henry’s 20-yard power shot took a nasty deflection off Barnsley defender Matthew Hill, wrong-footing Luke Steele in goals and finding the back of the net.
