Leeds United have bounced back from their heavy loss to Blackpool with a 1-0 win at Leicester City in the Championship on Sunday.
Simon Grayson’s team were on the wrong end of a 5-0 belting on Wednesday, but they produced a much-improved performance to win at King Power Stadium.
Midfielder Adam Clayton struck on 69 minutes to inflict manager-less City’s fourth home loss in eight league outings.
Leeds move into seventh on the back of the win, while Leicester City, who have been without a boss since sacking Sven-Goran Eriksson on October 24, slip to 12th.
Elsewhere, Brighton and Hove Albion ended a nine-match winless run with a 2-0 victory over Barnsley.
Gordon Greer netted just before the break and Ryan Harley soon after as they moved into 10th.
It was their first win since a 1-0 victory at Bristol City on September 10.
In the other game, Noel Hunt hit a 75th-minute winner as Reading registered a 1-0 win at home to Birmingham City.
