Veteran striker Kevin Phillips secured a point for Blackpool in a thrilling 3-3 Championship draw against Leicester City on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old opened the scoring after 33 minutes but Leicester forward Jermaine Beckford produced a quick response to ensure both sides entered the break on level terms.
Nigel Pearson’s side took the lead nine minutes after half time when David Nugent scored but Blackpool pulled level with 21 minutes remaining thanks to substitute Roman Bednar.
Beckford’s second just moments later looked to have secured all three points for Leicester but Phillips bagged his sixth goal in just seven games in stoppage time to send the Bloomfield Crowd into raptures.
Coventry City also managed an injury time equaliser in their 2-2 draw at Cardiff City.
Cody McDonald’s own goal gave Cardiff an early lead and it looked like it would be their night when Coventry’s Gary McSheffrey blasted a penalty over the bar early in the second half.
But Jordan Clarke’s levelled gave the visitors renewed hope on 69 minutes and although Peter Whittingham scored with seven minutes of normal time remaining, Andy Thorn’s side still claimed a battling point.
Oliver Norwood was the scorer, lashing home a drive from just outside the area in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
The other Championship match on Wednesday saw Michael Chopra’s second-half goal give Ipswich Town a 1-0 triumph over Burnley.
