Blackburn Rovers have begun life after Steve Kean with a 1-1 draw away to Charlton Athletic in the Championship on Saturday.
Rovers hit the lead early through Dickson Etuhu before Johnnie Jackson levelled for the home side on 27 minutes.
The result sees Blackburn move down to fourth on the table but they remain just one point behind the leaders.
Elsewhere, Cardiff City made it four wins in five games after thrashing Blackpool 3-0 at home.
Blackpool were comprehensively beaten by the Welsh side with Matthew Connolly scoring a double either side of a Peter Whittingham strike.
The win sees Cardiff move to second on the Championship table while Blackpool drop down to seventh.
Wolverhampton stayed level on points with Cardiff after a 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday.
A Bakary Sako strike two minutes before half-time proved to be the difference between the two sides.
Lloyd Dyer scored in the 89th minute to ensure Leicester City stayed a point behind the leaders after they beat Middlesbrough 2-1 at Riverside Stadium.
Middlesbrough went ahead through Nick Bailey on 50 minutes before Jamie Vardy drew the visitors level 12 minutes later.
The game looked to be heading for a draw before Dyer struck the match-winner in the shadows of full-time.
Leeds United ended their three game winless run with a hard-fought 3-2 win away to Bristol City.
El Hadji Diouf scored twice in the win which sees Leeds go ninth on 13 points.
Troy Deeney converted an 87th-minute penalty to help Watford to an entertaining 3-2 victory over Huddersfield Town.
Fitz Hall looked to have won the game for Watford in the 83rd minute only for Alan Lee to strike back for the home side a minute later to make it 2-2.
However, Watford regained the lead through Deeney and went on to claim victory.
Millwall also scored late as they played out an equally enthralling 2-2 draw with Burnley at Turf Moor.
Liam Trotter put the away side ahead after just three minutes before Ben Mee and Charlie Austin both struck to give Burnley the lead at half-time.
Burnley appeared to be heading for victory before Darius Henderson scored in the third minute of added time to hand his side a valuable away point.
Peterborough United got their second win of the season after beating Hull City 3-1 away from home.
An inspired performance from Emile Sinclair which culminated in a hat-trick was the difference between the two sides.
In other results, Crystal Palace defeated Bolton Wanderers 1-0 away from home while Barnsley and Ipswich Town played out a 1-1 draw.
