South Africa coach Pitso Mosimane has made five changes to the squad for friendlies against Zambia and Ghana.
The squad will be without defender Morgan Gould, who has been recalled by his club SuperSport United. Gould captained Bafana Bafana against Equatorial Guinea in the 0-0 draw on Friday, but was sent off.
Bradley Grobler, Siboniso Gaxa and Daylon Claasen have returned to their overseas clubs as per agreement that they will only play one match for their country, while Erick Mathoho has been released due to family bereavement.
The five players have been replaced by Thami Sangweni (AmaZulu), Thato Mokeke, Nhlanhla Vilakazi (both Ajax Cape Town), Lehlohonolo Masalesa (Bidvest Wits) and Thabo Nthete (Bloemfontein Celtic).
All five are already in camp at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Complex.
South Africa – who miss the 2012 African Cup of Nations, beginning on January 21 – will take on Zambia at the Rand Stadium on Wednesday.
They will then square up against Ghana in at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Sunday.
