Atalanta are set to sign Charles De Ketelaere from AC Milan in the summer transfer window, according to TMW. The Italian news outlet has claimed that De Ketelaere will join Atalanta from Serie A rivals Milan on a loan deal with the option to make it permanent at the end of the season.
AC Milan will receive a loan fee of €3 million for De Ketelaere, with Atalanta having the option to make the deal permanent in the summer of 2024 for €26 million plus €4 million in bonuses when certain conditions are reached. De Ketelaere will then sign a four-year contract with Atalanta.
De Ketelaere joined AC Milan from Club Brugge in the summer of 2022. Much was expected of the attacking midfielder when the 22-year-old arrived at San Siro, but he failed to make a huge impact at the Rossoneri. The 22-year-old made nine starts and 23 substitute appearances in Serie A for Milan last season, providing one assist in the process.
