Hoping to carry on their impressive rise up the League One table, Lee Bowyer’s Charlton side will be looking to make it five games unbeaten when they welcome Plymouth to The Valley on Saturday.

Starting with Lee Bowyer’s side, although Charlton have been swamped with issues way from the pitch, the Reds have battled back valiantly in the past few weeks. Coming off the back of a 2-0 win away at Bradford last weekend, Saturday’s hosts are now unbeaten in their last three last four League One outings. Now a point away from climbing back into the playoff positions, one man to watch will be Charlton’s 28-year-old top scorer Lee Taylor. The Addicks striker now has three in his last three and will fancy his chances against a struggling Plymouth side.

As for the visitors, after only just avoiding the drop last season, thing’s couldn’t have got off to a worse start for Plymouth. Coming off the back of a 1-0 loss at home to Blackpool, Derek Adams’ side are still looking for their first win of the season. Already four points adrift of safety at the bottom of the table, it will be their form in the final third that will be their biggest concern. Failing to find the net in September, Plymouth currently hold the worst attacking record in League One after eight games. Given the gulf in class between the two sides as of late, we’re backing a Charlton win at 10/11.
