Charlton seal Petrucci loan deal

Championship strugglers Charlton Athletic have signed Davide Petrucci on loan from Manchester United for the remainder of the season, according to Sky Sports.

The 22 year old, who is yet to make a senior appearance for his parent club, spent the first half of this campaign on loan with Antwerp, where he failed to score in twelve appearances while he has also turned out four times for Peterborough United in a brief spell last year.

The move comes on the same day that fellow striker Marcus Tudgay returned to Nottingham Forest, after barely appearing for the Addicks since joining them a month ago.

Charlton secured their first away league victory since November at the City Ground on Tuesday evening to move three points clear of the relegation zone, with three games in hand over the majority of the sides around them.

The continue their push for survival at Derby County on Saturday afternoon, where they can be backed at 9/2 for the win.
