Chase heats up for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Lazio star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is enjoying a fantastic run of form.

The 22-year-old Serbia international has seen his stock go through a meteoric rise over the course of his Lazio stint.

Milinkovic-Savic’s compelling displays at the centre of the pitch for Biancocelesti have made him one of the hottest commodities in European football and it hardly comes as a surprise to see the continent’s biggest clubs lining behind him.

The talented player was in great demand during the summer transfer window with Lazio, Napoli and a couple of Premier League sides all linked with a move.

Lazio managed to keep hold of the midfielder and extend his contract until 2022 by doubling his wage. Even though he is happy with Biancocelesti, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic could leave Lazio in near future as his agent and former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman refused to rule out potential departure at the end of the season.

The likes of Manchester United and City are bound to turn the player’s head as both Red Devils and Citizens are said to have jumped the line in an effort to land the highly-rated youngster.
