Having restored some of their confidence through thrashing an indisposed Liverpool team on Thursday, Manchester City suffered their ninth league defeat of the season at the hands of Southampton on Sunday.
This was the only goal of the game. Oleksandr Zinchenko lost the ball in the middle of the park, and Saints striker Che Adams spotted City goalkeeper Ederson Moraes far away from his line.
