Il Corriere dello Sport has learned that AC Milan are showing interest in Lille defender Aurelien Chedjou.
Signing a new centre-back is a priority for the Rossoneri, with Angelo Ogbonna, Mehdi Bentia and Davide Astori the likely targets.
Milan officials seem to have a back-up option as well as they are also following Lille centre-back Aurelien Chedjou.
At a cost of €6 million, the Cameroon international is a cheaper alternative to some of the other targets, and the fact he looks likely to leave Lille in the summer could also help.
Meanwhile, Milan are making a check on Marco Verratti and Gokhan Inler as they continue to search for midfield reinforcements.
With Massimo Ambrosini and Antonio Nocerino both set to leave, the Serie A giants are determined to add more quality to the centre of the park.
Milan are locked in the battle for the final Champions League berth with Fiorentina and they are waiting for the Serie A campaign to end before stepping up their interest.
