Chelsea have seen their bright start to the season take a hit of late, with the Blues having lost two league games since the last month. Jose Mourinho’s side were harbouring aspirations of competing on all four fronts this campaign, but they may have more realistic expectations after a humbling last few weeks.

The Premier League title remains the top competition for Mourinho, but Chelsea do have a fantastic record in the FA Cup in the modern day, winning the domestic cup four times in the previous eight years. The Blues boss doesn’t like to crash out of cup competitions without a fight eight, and he can afford to name a second-string side capable of beating Watford.

Currently 5th in the Championship, Watford should provide some threat to Chelsea this afternoon. The Hornets have enjoying victories in four of their last five league games, winning three away outings on the bounce. They travel to Stamford Bridge hoping to make it a fourth, but only home defeats don’t come by too often under Mourinho.
