Chelsea 4/7 to beat Eintracht Frankfurt and over 1.5 goals in Thursday’s Europa League semi-final

Competition: Europa League

Market: Chelsea win and over 1.5 goals

Odds: 4/7 @ Bet 365

Looking to book their spot in next months Europa League final, Chelsea will welcome Eintracht Frankfurt to Stamford Bridge on Thursday night.

Starting with the hosts, picking up a 3-0 win at home to Watford on Sunday, Chelsea have secured a top-four finish in the Premier League and the mood in their camp should be on a high. While Maurizio Sarri has come under some criticism during his debut season, the Blues have lost just one of their last nine matches across all competitions. A huge part of their success this season has come down to their continued performances at Stamford Bridge. Led by the Europa League’s top scorer Olivier Giroud who has bagged 10 goals in this year’s competition, Thursday hosts are unbeaten in their last nine matches in West London, scoring two or more goals in all bar one of those matchups.

As for the visitors, while Eintracht Frankfurt might still be dreaming of securing a Champions League debut for next season, it is becoming a worrying end to the year for Adi Hütter’s side. Coming off the back of a season-worst showing in their 6-1 battering away at Bayer Leverkusen last weekend, the German outfit have failed to win any of their last four outings and their defensive issues on the road are becoming a huge concern. Frankfurt have failed to win any of their last three matches away from the Commerzbank-Arena and have conceded a staggering 11 goals on that winless run.
