Odds: 7/19 @ 888 Sport

Chelsea travel to face Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the Champions League this week, and are hoping to finally hit some form after ending their winless run in the Premier League. The home side have been the whipping boys in Europe, and a Chelsea outfit slowly getting back to their best should be no match for the already-eliminated Tel-Aviv.

Jose Mourinho’s men recently won 1-0 against Norwich City in the league, and are hoping to pile the misery onto a Tel-Aviv side without a win in Europe this season. The hosts have lost all four of their group games so far, and unsurprisingly have the worst defence too. Chelsea should have no trouble capitalising even with their own poor form, with the Blues slowly turning a corner.

The Champions League has seen the Premier League holders picking up some results, with Chelsea amassing four points from their last two games in the group. Mourinho’s side beat Tel-Aviv 4-0 at Stamford Bridge, and victory this week could book their place in the next round. Currently second in the group, three points adrift of FC Porto, as well as being two points clear of Dynamo Kyiv, Chelsea look on course to progress thanks to a late winner in their last European outing.

Now Chelsea are finally starting to end their losing ways in all competitions, they have the perfect game to prove their upturn in form. Being the away side will mean Mourinho’s side are cautious, but Tel-Aviv aren’t expected to pose much of a threat throughout. The Blues should come out on top away from home, boosting their chances of qualifying in gameweek five.
