Chelsea travel to Villa Park to face relegation-threatened Aston Villa in the Premier League this weekend, needing a win to maintain their rise up the table. The Blues are still holding out slim hope of a top-six finish, and will certainly fancy their chances of beating Villa given their contrasting form of late.
Aston Villa are 20th in the Premier League table with 16 points from 31 games this season, and have lost six games on the bounce. The Midlands outfit have picked up only two league wins since August, and haven’t even scored in their last three overall. Their position at the foot of the table won’t change regardless of Saturday’s result.
As for Chelsea, the Blues are 10th in the league with 41 points from 30 games, and are unbeaten in their last 14 under interim manager Guus Hiddink. Chelsea have been outstanding away from home in the Premier League, boasting four wins and a draw from their last five, so they should have no problems beating Villa.
With Chelsea having beaten the Midlands outfit in the reverse fixture back in October, Ladbrokes are giving odds of 8/13 for the visitors to pick up all three points at Villa Park.
