Chelsea have finally confirmed a deal to sell Diego Costa back to Atletico Madrid, according to the Mirror.
The Spain international had been linked with a return to Madrid all summer though Atleti’s transfer ban had complicated the matter.
However, a fee has been agreed between the two clubs and while he cannot be registered to play until January he will take part in a specially-devised program in order to make him match ready.
Costa spent four years on the books of Atleti prior to his move to Stamford Bridge racking up ninety-four league appearances for the club, scoring forty-three goals.
Since signing for Chelsea he has played one hundred and twenty times in all competitions, scoring fifty-nine goals while he has helped them win two Premier League titles and the League Cup.
Antonio Conte’s side travel to Stoke City on Saturday afternoon and can be backed at 4/7 for the win.
