Chelsea and Manchester City are keeping close tabs on Portuguese striker Nelson Oliveira, Daily Mail has revealed.
The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Deportivo La Coruna and has yet to start for the La Liga side this season.
The striker has attracted a lot of attention with his showings at Benfica despite making just two league starts last season, with Chelsea and Manchester City believed to be leading the race for his signature.
In spite of the lack of playing time at club level, the youngster made Portugal’s Euro 2012 squad and made four substitute appearances at the tournament finals.
Oliveira was farmed out on loan to Deportivo La Coruna this summer in order to gain some experience, and he already managed to score one La Liga goal.
Even if he has scored just five league goals in his professional career, the Portuguese international is regarded as one of the most talented forwards in world football.
