According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and Liverpool are monitoring the situation of Crysencio Summerville at Leeds United with a view of a possible transfer this summer.
Both clubs watched the 22-year-old winger closely throughout the 2023/24 season, and with Leeds failing to earn promotion to the English top flight for the next campaign, there’s obviously a chance to lure him away from Elland Road, despite there being two more years on his contract with the Championship side.
Having risen through the youth ranks at Feyenoord, Summerville left Netherlands to join Leeds’ Under-21 side in 2020 and earned first-team promotion the following year. During the recently concluded season, he had 31 goal involvements (21 goals, 10 assists) in 49 matches across all competitions.
Chelsea will be looking to boost the squad for new manager Enzo Maresca ahead of 2024/25, while Liverpool aim to do the same after appointing Arne Slot, a former Feyenoord man himself, to succeed Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield dugout.
Summerville was previously linked with Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen, as well as AC Milan and Newcastle.
