Chelsea and Manchester City are both ready to move for Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling after the winger turned down Liverpool’s latest contract offer, according to the Daily Star.
Having shunned an offer of £70,000 per week from the Merseyside club towards the end of last year, the England international has been offered a six-figure weekly wage though he is holding out for a more commercially based deal.
Both Premier League leaders Chelsea and champions Manchester City have been linked with a move for the 20 year old, while Spanish giants Real Madrid have also registered an interest.
Since breaking into the Reds’ first team towards the end of the 2011/12 campaign, Sterling has racked up one hundred and seven appearances in all competitions, scoring nineteen goals while he named the club’s Young Player of the Year at the end of last season, when Liverpool finished second, just two points behind City.
