Chelsea and Manchester City want to sign Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window, according to ESPN. It has been reported that the Premier League clubs will have to pay €60 million to start talks with Bayern over a potential move.
Both Chelsea and City are reportedly on the hunt for a new striker in the summer transfer window, and there is no surprise to see them linked with Lewandowski. The Poland international is one of the best strikers of all time and remains a world-class player even at the age of 32. According to WhoScored, Lewandowski has scored 36 goals and provided six assists in the Premier League this season.
With Sergio Aguero leaving City at the end of the season, manager Pep Guardiola does need to sign a number nine. Having worked with Lewandowski at Bayern, the Spaniard would have no problem in getting him firing in the Premier League right from the onset.
