Chelsea and West Ham are both interested in signing Jhon Duran from Aston Villa, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
Having qualified for the Champions League with a fourth-place finish last season, Villa have started another campaign extremely well. They thrashed Young Boys in the opening match of UEFA’s elite competition, and they have five victories from six games played in the Premier League too, sitting second to Liverpool on goal-difference. With five goals all told, Duran has been a huge factor during this impressive period for Unai Emery’s team.
The 20-year-old striker, with 12 caps for Colombia already under his belt, is understandably on the radar of many clubs across Europe. Chelsea are known to be looking for a new striker, having failed to sign Victor Osimhen this summer. West Ham, however, are struggling to hit the back of the opposition net, and they may be forced to spend big to solve that particular issue in January, or next summer.
