Reigning Premier League champions have officially approached Bundesliga title holders Bayern Munich with an initial bid for midfielder Arturo Vidal.
Antonio Conte has long been linked with a reunion with the Chilean power engine he worked with at Juventus and it appears he has now decided to make a move in attempt to land the 30-year-old at Stamford Bridge.
Radio Colombia has reported that the Blues have already lodged in a €37 million proposal to their German counterparts.
Bayern Munich are willing to do business with the Premier League champions but appear to be demanding no less than €60 million for their first-team star who is under contract until 2019.
Vidal himself is keen to make a Chelsea switch this winter as he was promised that his salary will be doubled at Stamford Bridge, according to Bild.
Arturo Vidal has thus far made 14 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern Munich, adding five goals in the process.
