Competition: Champions League
Market: Chelsea & Atletico Madrid to finish 0-0 in normal time
Odds: 31/5 @ Betfair
Chelsea face Atletico Madrid at home Wednesday evening in the Champions League semi-final second leg, with the game perfectly poised after playing our a dour 0-0 draw in the first leg.
The Blues, managed by Jose Mourinho, are coming off the back of a 2-0 win against Liverpool at Anfield, while Atletico Madrid beat Valencia 1-0 to stretch their consecutive winning run in the Spanish La Liga to nine games.
Both Chelsea and Atletico boast the best defensive records in their respective leagues, with Mourinho’s side having conceded 26 goals in 36 games. Diego Simeone’s men have conceded 22 in 35.
As a result, Betfair are giving odds of 31/5 for tomorrow night’s Champions League clash to go to extra time with the side’s drawing 0-0 by the end of normal time.
Despite Chelsea boasting home advantage, they will be very cautious of their opposition, especially as Atletico Madrid knocked Barcelona out in the previous round. They have conceded just one goal in their last nine in the league too, and two in the last four months in Europe.
