Chelsea back in for Vidal

The Metro understands that Chelsea could be set to reignite their interest in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal at the end of the season.

Blues boss Antonio Conte is keen to be reunited with the Chile international, with whom he won three Serie A titles at Juventus prior to his switch to England and Vidal’s move to Germany.

The Bundesliga champions could be ready to move the thirty year old, who has fallen down the pecking order at the Allianz Arena plus his contract expires at the end of next season so a sale next summer could be beneficial to them.

He has started just five league games so far this season with his only goal coming in a 3-0 win over Schalke back in September.

He did make his one hundredth appearance for the club last month while he has helped them win back-to-back league championships in the last two years, and the German Cup in his first season with the club.
